I've committed to blogging everyday for thirty days, otherwise I would not be writing this blog post. I am straight up one big ball of sore. Yesterday, we decided to take a ride into the mountains and long story short, we came across this hill and saw people coming down it. My husband was bound and determined we were going to climb that hill, simply because he saw other people doing it, otherwise I doubt he would've considered it.
I saw that twinkle in his eye when he saw them and immediately began telling him there was no way I was climbing up there. I said "NO" all the way up to the hill as he continued to call me "chicken" and try to psychologically trick me into walking up there. Honestly, I just really wanted to take in the view that was undoubtedly up there. So I started up the hill.
It was so steep that my heart was pounding out of my chest so hard that I had to stop a few times on the way up just so it wouldn't explode. : )
I finally made it up and was so grateful I could give my heart a rest. The view was breathtaking.
Now - that was the happy part. Where the story gets tragic is when we discovered our "navigational genius" led us down the wrong way so we had to walk all the way back up this hill. I couldn't believe it and didn't know if I could even do it frankly. But I had no choice - darkness was looming and I KNEW I could hear snakes in dem der bushes.
I put on my best mindbuzz and started back up. Long story short - we made it down once again and the adrenaline was flowing last night. I felt like a million bucks.
Funny thing. I WOKE UP WITH A WALL OF SORE PEOPLE. I may have bit off more than I could chew on this one. : ) There was no consideration of a workout today....I think of someone would've asked me to jump I may have mustered the umph to smack them. I should've stretched after I did this - instead we were so relieved to be down we just got in the car and drove and hour back home. Bad idea.
Which leads me to my closing remarks. I had to blog today because I try to be a stickler with commitment. I blog with honesty, because I just know there are others out there who feel like me sometimes and it's always good to hear that you aren't alone.
So I blog today and honestly say, I hurt.
