Set yourself up

FOR SUCCESS!  So many of us completely ignore our diet even though we're working our butt off at the gym.  The two MUST go hand in hand.  Often times we sabotage ourself by setting ourselves up for failure by making bad decisions.  There are things you can do that will help you make better decisions about what you put in your mouth during the day.

Clean and cutup veges
After a trip to the grocery store, I take extra time to wash and cutup my veges for future salads and put them in tupperware.  This makes it VERY EASY to make a salad with whatever ingredients I want.  I used to buy all the produce for salads and then when I was hungry I was far too lazy to clean and cut the ingredients.  This way - grab and go!

Make your lunch
Instead of going to fast food restaurants at lunch, make your lunch the night before and grab it on your way out the door.  By taking this extra time the night before, you give yourself energy the next day to get through your work day!

Bring a bag of healthy snacks to work
The worst thing you can do is allow yourself to get hungry.  Hungry Christy makes TERRIBLE food decisions.  The best way to curb your appetite is by eating healthy snacks AND give yourself extra nutrition too.

I love the idea of cutting up my veggies ahead of time!

I actually had the idea for this post while I was cutting up the veges tonight after a trip to the grocery. (that's actually my veges in the picture)

If I didn't do this - I would be too lazy to do it later on and would choose something not nearly as good as a bowl full of veges.

Also, be sure to try spinach and other things you normally wouldn't eat in your salad. Yum.

I like this idea. I would also cut bigger pieces (like carrots and celery) as my snacks the next day. (although I use too much dip on them to be healthy)
